6:45 PM - 8:00 PM
This month, the theme for our Pack is Citizenship. In that spirit, our Pack Service Coordinators have organized a service project for our Pack. Please read the information below so you are familiar with the project and what to expect at our November Pack meeting.
From Lisa Giusti & Michelle Hallenbeck (Pack Service Coordinators):
Hello Pack 97,
Project Just Because is a wonderful organization that helps individuals and families that are having financial difficulties. Pack 97 has chosen to support Project Just Because in their Holiday Wish Program. This year there are two brothers, ages four and seven, that are in special need of our help. They are without the basic necessities to make it through the winter. Although, the family has had an especially difficult year, their Mother has only requested warm clothing for her children. However, Project Just Because would love for us to go beyond the necessities and provide the children with some fun holiday gifts as well.
At the Pack meeting you and your family will be able to choose a new item to donate. However, we are sending the list to you today so you can review the items with your family in advance (you will note some items have been duplicated, this is intentional because we need more than one of those items). If you prefer, you can pick an item now by sending an email of what you would like to donate to j.giusti@comcast.net. Since some of the items are more expensive, several families can go in on one item. You also can choose more than one gift to give.
We are asking that you drop off any items to 9 Prestwick Drive by December 3rd. It would be great if our Pack can make a difference in this family’s life this holiday season.
Thank you,
Lisa Giusti and Michelle Hallenbeck
Pack 97 Community Service Coordinators
P.S. Your donation should be unwrapped. Please put 3667 on the gift to ensure it goes to the right family.
