End of Year Cookout

$5 per person/$20 max for the families

Wear

Class B t-shirts, something comfortable (no uniforms required)

Bring 

This year we will be helping to recycle uniforms & handbooks so we can pass them along to scouts as they move through the program. Please bring with you to the picnic any of the following items that you no longer need/would like to pass on to other scouts: handbooks, cub scout shirts (class A or B), hats, neckerchiefs, & slides. You can drop them off at the registration table when you arrive at the picnic. Money will also be collected at that time.

Please also bring the following to share with all attendees:
  • Tigers – dessert
  • Wolves – salad
  • Bears and First year webelos – fruit
Boys can bring a joke or a riddle to share at the Campfire.

Schedule

4pm – 5pm Free Time and Play **
5pm – 5:30pm Welcome and Scout Recognition
5:30pm- 6:30pm Field Games, Zip Line, Scout Activities
6:30pm - 7:30 Grace and Dinner
7:30pm-8:30pm Campfire

The Pack Committee has arranged for the Ice Cream truck to come during free time (from about 4:15 until 4:45). A complimentary ice cream will be available to scouts during that time. Siblings and parents will need to pay for their ice cream.

The cookout will include hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner (as well as fruit, salads, & some desserts provided by Pack 97 families).

RSVP

Please respond to your Den Leader by this Wednesday, June 19th at 5pm with how many in your family will be attending the cookout. Den leaders please send your totals to George Gaughan on Wednesday night, the pack will be shopping for the event on Thursday.

Volunteers Needed

We need you (parents) to let us know what you can help us with for the Cookout...
  • Set up (zip line, campfire, volleyball, etc.,) - would need to arrive at about 3:30/4:00 pm
  • Need 2-3 people who can be there to check people in, collect $, collect uniform stuff. At least 1 of these folks should arrive at about 3:45 to get set up and check in folks who do arrive at 4:00.
  • Food (preparation, cooking, serving)
  • Clean up after dinner
  • Zip Line supervisors
  • Volleyball supervisor
  • Campfire – anyone willing to help lead the boys in a few songs? Have a guitar or other instrument you could lead us with?
