Higgins Armory Museum
Last chance to see the great collection in Higgins Armory Museum before they close for good at the end of this year!
We are once again organizing a Cub Scout Sleepover. Higgins Armory Museum OverKnight includes a presentation on the armor of a knight, hands-on where the boys can try on pieces of armor and equipment, guided tour of the collection, heraldry lesson and shield workshop. Saturday morning will include a scavenger hunt for the "Elements of the Chivalric Code" in the Great Hall and a Knighting Ceremony. http://www.higgins.org/overknights
Adults - $55 Scouts - $15 (Pack is funding a portion of the Scout). The cost covers Medieval-style dinner, bedtime snack and continental breakfast, as well as program activities described above & memories for a lifetime!
Each scout is required to have at least one parent attend.
The maximum capacity is 60 spaces. These usually fill fast. Please RSVP to me by email when registration begins at 10:30 this Thursday morning, Sept 19th. Checks and final rsvp's are due by October 1st. These spaces will fill quickly. Because we are limited to the first 60 people, we will first take scout and one parent names, and wait list any siblings until October 1st. Jo Greystone will send out a registration email on Thursday morning at 10:30am so please respond to that email to register. Jo will confirm immediately to the first 60 people. Checks should be brought to the camp out this Saturday made payable to Cub Scout Pack 97. This is simply an information email so that you can have a little time to discuss with family and check your calendars. So sorry to begin thinking about another overnight so quickly to the campout, however, under the circumstances of the museum closing in December, we needed to move on it quickly.
